Ben Nevis Inn

Permanent, year round position

The Ben Nevis Inn is looking for a Chef de Partie to support the Kitchen Manager in the day to day running of its busy kitchen, set at the foot of Ben Nevis.

This is a well established, high quality operation serving lunch and dinner year round, with plans to introduce daily breakfasts from April next year.

The role

You will support the Kitchen Manager with daily kitchen operations.
You will prepare and deliver consistently good, homemade food during service.
You will work confidently in a fast paced environment during peak periods.
You will help maintain high standards of hygiene, organisation, and food quality.

Service times

Lunch service runs from midday to 4.30pm.
Dinner service runs from 5pm to 9pm.
Breakfast service will be introduced from April, with a reduced number of evening shifts once this begins.

Working pattern

Permanent, year round role.
Four day working week during the summer season.
Three day working week during the winter months.
No split shifts.
Once breakfasts begin, you are likely to work only three nights out of seven.
The inn closes every year from the 24th to the 27th of December.

Previous experience in a similar role is essential.
A motivated, reliable, and hardworking attitude.
A genuine interest in producing good, honest food.
The ability to perform well during busy services as part of a team.
