Barcaldine Castle is recruiting a couple or two friends applying together to join its small team for the 2026 season.
This is a live-in opportunity offering varied hands on hospitality work in a unique historic setting, ideal for those looking to save money, gain experience, and live somewhere special for the season.
The roles
The work is varied and shared across the team.
You will be involved in housekeeping and property changeovers.
You will support guest care and day to day hospitality.
You will assist with breakfast preparation and service.
You will help with bar service and event support when required.
You will work closely together and with the wider team to keep operations running smoothly.
Working pattern
One role is approximately 42 hours per week.
One role is approximately 30 hours per week.
The contract runs from 16 March to 4 November 2026.
Own transport is essential due to the location.
Accommodation
A one bedroom apartment is provided.
All bills are included.
One pet is welcome.
Due to accommodation limits, solo applications cannot be accepted.

You will be practical, reliable, and happy with hands on work.
You will enjoy working with guests and as part of a small team.
You will be adaptable and comfortable with varied duties.
Previous hospitality experience is helpful but not essential.
