SSE is recruiting a Catering Assistant to join the team at the Pitlochry Dam Visitor Centre, supporting the day to day operation of a busy café welcoming over 100,000 visitors each year.
This role suits someone who enjoys customer facing work, takes pride in good food service, and is comfortable working as part of a close, fast moving team.
The role
You will support the preparation and service of food and beverages in line with café standards and food safety requirements.
You will carry out general café and kitchen duties including serving customers, washing up, setting up and clearing down service areas.
You will help maintain high standards of cleanliness across the café, kitchen, retail areas, toilets and grounds.
You will provide friendly, visible and professional customer service, engaging positively with visitors throughout their visit.
You will work closely with colleagues to deliver a consistent visitor experience and support service improvement.
Working pattern
The role is based at Pitlochry Dam Visitor Centre.
This is a part time fixed term role with flexible working options available.
Weekend working is required as part of the rota.
What we are looking for
Previous customer service experience, ideally within catering or hospitality.
Ability to work in a fast paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Good communication skills and a positive, approachable manner.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Experience of cash handling and till systems is desirable but not essential, as training will be provided.
Awareness of food hygiene, health and safety standards.
