Isle of Luing Community Café
The Isle of Luing Community Café is looking for an enthusiastic Cook and Café Assistant to join their small team for the 2026 summer season, with training beginning in late March and the role running from April to October.
This is relaxed, sociable island work with one evening shift a week and a supportive team around you.
You will prepare simple, good food for lunches, bar nights and community events.
You will help run the café day to day, keeping the place welcoming, tidy and at the heart of island life.
You will take orders, serve customers and support the small but busy service.
You will help with basic kitchen prep and maintain clean food areas to a high standard.
You will be part of a friendly local team who take pride in creating a warm, community-focused atmosphere.
The island is a beautiful place to spend the summer, with wildlife, scenery and local history all around you.
You will work Wednesday to Sunday, with sociable hours and a Real Living Wage rate, including a higher rate for cooking shifts.
Accommodation is available on the island and would suit a solo traveller or a couple.
A hospitality background is helpful but not essential.
What matters most is attitude, reliability and a willingness to learn.
Full training will be provided for the right candidate.
