Bakkafrost Scotland is recruiting a Freshwater Operative to support its freshwater and smolt production sites in Kinlochmoidart.
This role suits someone practical and motivated who is comfortable working in an outdoor aquaculture environment.
The role
You will work under the direction of the Freshwater Site Manager.
You will support the day to day operation of freshwater hatchery and smolt production sites.
You will operate and maintain site equipment as required.
You will assist with fish husbandry and site operations.
You will follow health and safety procedures at all times.
Working pattern
This is a temporary 12 month contract.
On call participation may be required.
Overtime is paid at enhanced rates.
What we are looking for
You should be reliable and able to work as part of a team.
You must be comfortable working in a rural setting.
Previous aquaculture or similar operational experience is desirable but not essential.
A commitment to health and safety is essential.

Salary package up to £32,469.30 per annum.
Overtime paid at x1.5 Monday to Saturday and x2 on Sundays.
Discretionary area allowance of £2,000.
