The Inch Hotel in Fort Augustus is recruiting a General Assistant to join its hospitality team, offering a varied role in a well regarded Highland hotel set in a stunning rural location.
This is a hands on position suited to someone with a positive attitude and a genuine interest in hospitality, where no two days are the same and teamwork is central to delivering an excellent guest experience.
The role
As a General Assistant, you will support the hotel across a range of areas including housekeeping, front of house service, taking food and drink orders, serving meals, working behind the bar, and ensuring guests receive a warm and professional service throughout their stay.
You will be expected to maintain high standards of cleanliness and presentation, work efficiently during busy periods, and follow all health and safety procedures across the hotel.
What we are looking for
The Inch Hotel is looking for someone who is guest focused, enthusiastic, and takes pride in their work. Previous hospitality experience is helpful but not essential, as full training will be provided.
You should be comfortable multitasking, working at pace, and living and working in a rural setting. A good level of spoken and written English is required, and applicants must be able to provide evidence of their right to work in the UK.
