Ember is recruiting Intercity Bus and Coach Drivers to join its new Inverness team as it expands its fully electric, zero emission coach network across Scotland.

The role
As an Intercity Driver, you will be the face of Ember for passengers, delivering safe, smooth, and welcoming journeys across Scotland.
You will operate state of the art electric coaches, providing excellent customer service and acting as the main point of contact for passengers during their journey.
You will support passengers with luggage, maintain a clean and comfortable coach environment, and respond to customer queries with a positive, solution focused approach.
You will use Ember’s in house technology systems to support the customer experience and day to day operations.
As part of a close knit Inverness based team, you will be trusted to work independently, show initiative, and contribute ideas as the operation continues to grow.
Hours and working pattern
Ember operates a 24 hour, seven day service.
You will rotate across early, late, and night shifts, with five weeks’ notice of rotas provided wherever possible.
Overtime opportunities are regularly available.
Pay and progression
Starting rate £15.00 per hour with a guaranteed 40 hours per week, equivalent to £31,200 per year.
After one year, hourly rate increases to £15.80, equivalent to £32,864 per year.
Drivers who become Ember Ambassadors can earn £16.40 per hour, equivalent to £34,112 per year.
Relief contracts are also available at £16.81 per hour.
Overtime rates start at £18.00 per hour and can rise to double the base rate for short notice shifts.
A £1,000 sign on bonus is payable after six months.
Relocation support may be available for drivers moving to work at the Inverness hub.

What you need
Full PCV licence, Category D minimum.
Up to date CPC and digital tachograph card, or the ability to obtain these quickly.
High standards of driving with a strong commitment to safety.
Flexibility to work a rotating shift pattern.
