Ember is the UK’s first fully electric intercity coach company and is expanding its operations in Fort William as part of its growing Scotland-wide network.

This role offers the chance to join a forward-looking transport operator focused on high-quality customer service, modern vehicles, and a cleaner, more sustainable future for public transport.

The role

You will safely operate Ember’s electric coaches on intercity routes.
You will deliver a friendly, professional experience for passengers throughout each journey.
You will assist customers with luggage and general travel enquiries.
You will carry out light vehicle checks and cleaning to maintain high standards.
You will use onboard technology and systems confidently and accurately.
You will work both independently and as part of the local Fort William team.

Pay and benefits

Starting rate of £15.00 per hour.
£15.80 per hour after one year.
£16.40 per hour for Ember Ambassadors.
Relief contracts available at £16.81 per hour.
Overtime paid from £18.00 per hour.
28 days paid annual leave pro rata.

Working pattern

Ember operates a 24/7 service, seven days a week.
You must be able to work a rotating shift pattern including early, late, and night shifts.
Rotas are provided with up to five weeks’ notice wherever possible.

Requirements

Full PCV licence, Category D minimum.
Valid CPC and digital tachograph card, or willingness to obtain quickly.
A strong commitment to safety and smooth, professional driving.
Excellent customer service skills.
Flexibility and reliability.
