Trees for Life is recruiting a Management Accountant to support its rewilding work across the Scottish Highlands.
This role suits an analytical and impact driven accountant who can translate financial performance into insight that guides decisions and supports long term sustainability.
The role
Analysing revenue across accommodation, café, retail and visitor experiences.
Comparing performance against targets and forecasts.
Preparing management reports with commentary, graphics and trend analysis.
Meeting with budget holders to support understanding of financial performance.
Monitoring profitability, margins and key performance indicators across projects and sites.
Carrying out balance sheet reconciliations and preparing quarterly VAT returns.
Supporting and developing an assistant within the finance team.
Contributing to improvements in finance systems and reporting tools.
Visiting Dundreggan Estate and the Rewilding Centre to understand operational activity.
Working pattern
28 hours per week.
Flexible working across four or five days.
Hybrid working across Findhorn, Dundreggan and home by agreement.
What we are looking for
Strong management accounting experience.
Confidence working with non financial colleagues.
Ability to interpret financial data and communicate insight clearly.
Experience preparing reports, forecasts and reconciliations.
Interest in working within a values led environmental organisation.
What is on offer
Salary of £41,479 to £43,791 per annum pro rata.
