Bakkafrost Scotland is recruiting a Marine Operative to support its salmon farming operations at Stronachullin near Ardrishaig.
This role suits someone motivated to work in a marine environment while contributing to fish health, welfare and site operations.
The role
You will work under the direction of the Senior Marine Operative and Marine Site Manager.
You will support the day to day running of the marine site.
You will assist with husbandry tasks to ensure fish health and welfare standards are maintained.
You will operate in line with strict health and safety and quality procedures.
You will take part in a weekend rota as part of the contractual working pattern.
Working pattern
Full time permanent role.
Contractual overtime included with at least one in three weekends.
Overtime paid daily at enhanced rates.
What we are looking for
You are reliable and comfortable working outdoors in a marine setting.
You are able to follow operational and safety procedures.
You work well as part of a team.
Previous aquaculture or marine experience is helpful but not essential.
What is on offer
Package up to £34,472.50 per annum including contractual overtime.
