Hannah’s Newsagents, a well known family run business in Oban, is looking for a reliable and friendly Part Time Sales Assistant to join its team.
This role suits someone who enjoys working with people, is comfortable taking responsibility, and can work confidently on their own when required.
You do not need previous retail experience as full training will be provided, but you do need a good attitude, common sense, and a willingness to be flexible.
The role
You will serve customers in a polite and helpful manner, providing a friendly and reliable service.
You will work independently during shifts, using your initiative to keep the shop running smoothly.
You will handle basic retail tasks and take responsibility for the shop during your shift.
You will help maintain a clean, organised, and welcoming environment for customers.
Hours and shifts
This is a part time, permanent role, working between 4 and 18 hours per week.
Shifts are mainly evenings, with some weekend work.
Monday to Friday: 6pm to 10pm
Saturday: 5pm to 10pm
Sunday: 12pm to 5pm and 5pm to 10pm
The business is happy to be flexible for the right person.

Previous retail experience is helpful but not essential.
Pay and location
Pay starts from £12.71 per hour.
Location: Oban, in person.
