Albyn Housing Society is recruiting a Senior Compliance Officer to lead property compliance and tenant safety programmes across its housing stock in the Highlands.
This role suits someone with strong leadership experience in property or health and safety who wants to make a practical difference to people’s homes and communities.

The role

You will oversee the delivery of Albyn’s property compliance and cyclical safety programmes across all housing stock.
You will coordinate frontline compliance activity covering mechanical, electrical and plumbing installations, fire safety, asbestos management, legionella, radon, and damp and mould reporting.
You will provide leadership, support and guidance to members of the compliance team.
You will manage and monitor external contractors, ensuring quality, safety and performance standards are met.
You will coordinate the production and scrutiny of operational compliance reports and present findings to colleagues and management teams.
You will contribute as part of the senior officer group to the ongoing improvement of property services.
You will participate in the out of hours cover rota, expected to be around three occasions per year and planned in advance.

Working pattern

The role is full time at 35 hours per week.
Hybrid working is available, combining office based and remote working.
The main base is Invergordon, with travel across the Highlands as required.

What we are looking for

Experience in a supervisory or management role within property, housing, facilities management, construction, engineering or health and safety.
Strong working knowledge of property compliance and health and safety legislation.
Experience of planned preventative maintenance and compliance programmes.
Confidence managing contractors and subcontractors, including the use of KPIs.
Strong IT skills including Microsoft Office, asset management systems and formal report writing.
A collaborative, professional approach and the ability to lead teams effectively.
