Johnstons of Elgin
Johnstons of Elgin are looking for a Social Media Specialist who can combine creative vision with technical skill to help grow the global presence of one of Scotland’s most respected luxury brands.
This is a full time permanent position working thirty eight hours per week, with flexibility to be based in Elgin, London or Paris depending on the successful candidate.
You will play a central role in shaping how the brand appears across major social platforms, developing and delivering a comprehensive global content plan that reflects the heritage, craftsmanship and design ethos that define Johnstons of Elgin.
Working closely with the Digital Marketing Manager, you will design and execute both paid and organic campaigns that drive reach, engagement and consistent brand storytelling, particularly across the UK and North American markets.
You will oversee the daily posting schedule, ensuring layouts, copy and visual standards meet luxury brand expectations while maintaining a cohesive editorial voice across all channels.
You will work with the digital team to build insight led campaigns that deliver measurable results, reporting on their performance and refining strategy through structured testing of thumbnails, hooks, captions, hashtags, formats and posting times.
You will monitor competitor activity across social media, email and paid channels, identifying opportunities to differentiate and elevate Johnstons of Elgin’s digital presence.
You will support community management by fostering meaningful interactions with audiences and coordinating with customer experience teams to ensure timely, professional responses to comments and enquiries.
The role requires someone who brings both creative instinct and analytical clarity.
You will undertake audience research to understand behaviour, preferences and emerging trends, keeping the brand at the forefront of digital publishing developments and platform updates.
You will also help manage external agency relationships, supporting the wider digital team in executing regional strategies across international markets.
To succeed in this role, you should have at least two years of experience working in social media or digital marketing, ideally within a fashion, luxury or agency environment.
A degree in marketing, media or a related field would be beneficial.
You should be comfortable working in a fast paced environment, managing multiple projects and deadlines, and using tools such as Meta and Google Analytics to inform content strategy and optimise return on investment.
