Cotswold Outdoor is recruiting a Store Manager to lead its Fort William store and play a key role in delivering outstanding customer experiences for people who love life outdoors.
Part of the wider Cotswold Outdoor Group, which includes Runners Need and Snow + Rock, the business is built around expert advice, trusted outdoor brands, and a genuine commitment to sustainability and protecting the natural environment.
This is a hands on leadership role where you will set the tone on the shop floor, support and develop your team, and drive store performance while keeping customers at the heart of everything you do.
The role
You will take full responsibility for the day to day running of the store, leading and supporting your team to deliver excellent service and achieve performance targets.
You will oversee daily operations including deliveries, cash handling, compliance checks, and stock control.
You will maintain high visual and merchandising standards to create an inspiring, easy to navigate customer journey.
You will monitor store performance, analyse results, and take timely action to drive improvement.
You will recruit, train, and develop team members, building capability and confidence across the store.
You will work closely with senior leaders and colleagues across the group to support the continued growth of the store.
About you
You will have experience leading a retail team and feel confident managing the operational demands of a busy store.
You will be comfortable leading from the front, spending time on the shop floor and setting the standard through your own behaviour.
You will be calm under pressure, commercially aware, and motivated by hitting goals without losing sight of great customer service.
You will be a strong communicator who builds trust, brings people together, and gets the best out of those around you.
Key details
Salary: £31,000 per year
Bonus: Up to £4,250 annually
Hours: 40 hours per week
Contract: Permanent, full time
