This role is suited to experienced care professionals who are passionate about delivering person centred support and helping people live safer, happier, and more independent lives.

The role

As a Support Worker, you will provide person centred care across residential homes, supported living settings, and within the community. You will support individuals to build confidence, develop life skills, and maintain as much independence as possible.

The role involves offering emotional support, working respectfully with people from a range of backgrounds, and adapting your approach to meet individual needs. You will work both independently and as part of a wider care team, always placing dignity, safety, and wellbeing first.

What we are looking for

You must have the right to work in the UK and a minimum of six months paid UK care experience within the last three years. You will need an Enhanced DBS for England or Wales, a PVG for Scotland, or AccessNI, along with clear communication skills and a professional, compassionate approach to care.

Integrity, respect, empathy, and reliability are essential qualities for this role.

Pay and benefits

Pay ranges from £13.90 to £16.68 per hour, depending on role and assignment. Newcross offers flexible shifts through the HealthForceGo app, with both full time and part time opportunities available subject to availability.
