Boots is recruiting a Trainee Dispenser to join its pharmacy team at Eastgate Shopping Centre in Inverness.
This role suits someone who wants to build a career in healthcare, enjoys working with people, and is ready to learn in a structured, professional environment. No previous experience is required as full training will be provided.
The role
Supporting the pharmacist and wider pharmacy team in the safe and efficient delivery of pharmacy services.
Dispensing prescriptions accurately, including ordering, labelling, endorsing and preparing medicines for collection.
Providing care and advice to patients and referring queries to the pharmacist when appropriate.
Following Standard Operating Procedures to ensure the safe and legal supply of medicines.
Building positive relationships with customers and supporting them to manage their prescriptions effectively.
Completing the Pharmacy Advisor NVQ2 training programme.
Working pattern
Permanent position based in store in Inverness.
30 hours per week.
What we are looking for
Desire to complete the Dispenser training programme.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety.
Good communication skills and a caring, professional manner.
Right to work in the UK.
Experience in community pharmacy would be beneficial but is not essential.
