National Trust for Scotland
The National Trust for Scotland is recruiting Visitor Services Assistants for Glencoe Visitor Centre and the Glencoe National Nature Reserve.
These are seasonal roles running from March to October 2026, with both full time and part time contracts available.
Shorter contracts can also be arranged, and staff accommodation may be available to rent subject to availability.
This is a frontline role at one of the most iconic landscapes in Scotland.
Glencoe attracts visitors from around the world, and you will be part of the team that welcomes them, helps them understand the place they are exploring and ensures they leave with a memorable and positive experience.
You will work across several areas including the shop, arrival and information hub, café, exhibition spaces and the reconstructed three hundred year old turf house.
Every day will involve warm, engaging and informative interactions with visitors, whether they are individuals, families or tour groups.
You will help answer questions, offer suggestions on how to enjoy the reserve and share the stories that make Glencoe such a remarkable place.
The role also plays a core part in generating the income that allows the National Trust for Scotland to care for this landscape.
You will contribute to retail and café activity, provide clear and friendly service at all visitor touchpoints and help maintain the high standard expected of a major conservation site.
You will need excellent customer service skills, a friendly and confident approach and a willingness to learn and share the history and significance of Glencoe.
The work can be busy and varied, and you will be part of a team that values professionalism, enthusiasm and a genuine interest in people.
Contracts may also be available from November to March, depending on organisational needs, and will be confirmed through a separate selection process in September.
This is a strong opportunity to work in one of Scotland’s most dramatic landscapes while contributing to the work of a national conservation charity.
