The National Trust for Scotland is recruiting Visitor Services Assistants to join the welcome team at Inverewe Garden in Poolewe for the 2026 season.
This role suits energetic, friendly people who enjoy engaging with visitors and helping create a warm and memorable experience from arrival to departure.
The role
Welcoming visitors and providing information about the site and facilities.
Working across welcome, retail, catering, and house hub areas as required.
Delivering consistently high standards of customer service during busy periods.
Handling cash transactions and processing sales accurately.
Supporting retail and catering operations including stock handling and merchandising.
Assisting with car park arrivals and visitor flow.
Supporting day to day operational tasks including cleaning and presentation.
Working closely with Visitor Services Managers and wider site teams.
Helping maximise income through excellent service and strong product knowledge.
Adhering to health, safety, and site quality standards at all times.
Working pattern
Seasonal contracts between March and October 2026.
Full time and part time hours available.
Weekend and bank holiday working required on a rota basis.
Occasional evening work for special events.
Accommodation available on site if required.
What we are looking for
A warm, welcoming, and confident front of house manner.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Flexibility to adapt to changing visitor numbers and tasks.
Strong time management and organisational skills.
A genuine belief in the value of good customer service.
Previous hospitality, tourism, retail, or catering experience is helpful but not essential.
An interest in nature and the outdoors is desirable.
